1. Register a domain name .  There are many domain registers, but a lot of people like Go Daddy. The big question for most people is, how do you pick a domain name? One method that I like with Go Daddy is to first do a massive brainstorming session and  put all the possible names into Notepad. Then use Go Daddy’s bulk register feature to see what is available.  Be sure to setup your e-mail for your the new domain you just purchased.  It is a lot more professional to use an e-mail address that says yourname@your-domain.com than one from Yahoo or Gmail.  That helps establish your branding, something that we can cover later.
2. Start doing some reading.  There is a ton of information out there and you will never get it all.  However, one of the best resources that you can start with is free.  If you have not yet done so, pick up your free copy of Anne Sieg’s “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing“.
3. Get around some good people.  If this is not your first foray into the world of network marketing you know that back in the old days if you did not get your infomation from your upline or the company, it was rejected.  People were kept pretty insulated from the outside world as far as marketing goes.  Well this is truly now the information age.  People from other companies are sharing information on what works best.  One of the best places I have found to get this is a site called Better Networker.  Go over there and join the forums.
4. Get on Facebook.  Did you know that the fastest growing demographic for Facebook is 35-54 year olds?  Right, behind them are the 55+ year olds.  I don’t care whether you are old or young, Facebook has become a prime meeting spot and it is essential to be a part of it if you want to develop an online prescence.  Once you join, start joining some of the groups on there related to network marketing.  You will find them when you do a “Group” search.
5. So my question for you is, what kinds of things are you doing to take advantage of this wave of opportunity?  Sure, you can do more and more marketing, but there is one crucial toolset that you must add in oder to become successful.  Mike Dillard, in his Magnetic Sponsoring Course (a well recommended read, if you don’t have it already) said that in order to become a leader you must first become “that guy”.  “That guy” is the person that you see at all the meetings leading the way, the one that everyone wants to talk to after the meeting, the person that is signing up new people as effortlessly as breathing.  “That guy” is able to do that because he represents value to those new people.  Value in the sense that he will be the person that has the knowledge to help the new prospect become successful.  So you have to add value, and the way that you add value is by educating yourself with books and courses.

I said all of that to tell you about an excellent book that I am reading by James Raycalled Harmonic Wealth.  This book picks up where the Secret left off.  It gives  you a practical roadmap of techniques that will help  you attract the kind of success that you want in all areas of your life.   It covers what it describes as the the Five Pillars of life: financial, relational, mental, physical, and spiritual.

To fully implement attraction marketing, learn to fully implement the law of attraction.  I am still reading this book and will probably add more info on it as I read further.  However, over the years I have read many books like this one.  Each one has been like a software program that I have loaded onto my computer hard drive.  Each program directs the computer (me) to perform.  I could fill my computer with hours of TV (although I will set some time aside to watch 24) and other time wasters, but I know  that if I want to achieve my vision that I have set for myself, I need to load the proper software.  That software is found in books.  Those are the things that successful people do so that they can live a more abundant life.  Live more abundantly now.  Load the proper software onto your hard drive and you will see the opportunity that is everywhere around us.
