When something needs to get done in my life, for the most part, I have been a do it your self kind of guy. In fact, I am the kind of guy who enjoys fixing things. In a former career, I worked as a professional carpenter. So I am pretty handy around the house. When I first started out as a carpenter, a lot of people would ask me how I learned what I knew. They were always surprised when I answered that I watched a lot of DIY TV shows and I read books.

Does anyone remember back before e-mail, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, blogs, and other social media people used to use a little communication device called a telephone 
? You may still have one tucked in the back of the closet along with that thing they called a typewriter.
